VARG CONFIRMED
Viking Metal Band "VARG" (which comes from Swedish and Norwegian meaning "wolf") are able to look back on 5 years of glorious band history after their release of "Blutaar" in 2010. Numerous live gigs and festival appearances like on Legacy Fest, Metaldays, and Summer Night gave the band an excellent name in the scene. Now, the time is right to unleash their new album called "Wolfskult" via NoiseArt Records and the band has made two big steps forward, not only in regards to their songwriting skills, but also production and layout-wise as well as the professionalism of the band. The band is considered THE hope among the Viking/Pagan Metal scene! The record was once again produced by Andy Classen (Legion Of The Damned, Belphegor, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter) at Stage One Studios and this time around, the sound of the CD just kills it! Your desires for death will be satisfied! Hailing from Glasgow, the fanatic death/black-metallers of ACHREN, who already produce so called „Blood Metal" since 2003, start on their journey to Slovenia in this summer. This bloodthirsty quartet will cut into your flesh with rough riffs, black metallic melodies, demonic screams and brutally deep death-metal-growls. After they have shaken up the death metallic UK-scene, now the guys of ACHREN force to fill the rest of the world with endless darkness. Achren will be performing at Metalcamp and representing the UK as part of the Bloodstock and Metalcamp Unsigned initiative and this is part of our commitment to breaking Metal with our counterparts at Bloodstock Open Air.
Achren formed in Scotland in 2003, blending crushingly hard heavy metal riffs, death metal growls, black metal sentiments and a thrash mentality to create a unique and commandeering sound which over the course of their first two demos and subsequent releases have forged the term 'blood metal.'
Since the line-up solidified they have sought to build a reputation as one of the most sought after and feared bands touring in the UK today, heralding this to great live critical acclaim and managing to build a steady fanbase throughout the country along the way.
Having shared stages with the likes of Morbid Angel, Destruction, Devildriver, Onslaught and Dismember to name but a few, Achren have augmented their growing reputation in the UK metal scene, and through positive reviews, national press coverage with the likes of Metal Hammer and Zero Tolerance, and some hard work managed their first tour in Scandinavia in 2007.
Their next move saw the production of the single 'Blood Soaked Banner' by esteemed metal producer Dave Chang, and accompanied by play lists on totalrock.com, a Terrorizer magazine cover-mount CD appearance, a live BBC session, widely regarded as a first in their genre and the radio station, and a gruelling and relentless UK promotional schedule, they furthered their reputation as a leading dark in the underground UK metal scene.
Having spent 2009 working on their debut album, and managing to find the time to tour under the Northern Brutality moniker band consisting of Scott Anderson - Vocals, Guitar, Callum Kirk - Lead Guitar, Gordon Johnston - Drum and John Clark Paterson - Bass, as well as providing high profile supports to the likes of Vader, Sabbat, Chthonic and Hecate Enthroned, recently performed at the UK's premier independent metal festival 'Bloodstock-Open-Air,' with plans to release a DVD of the whole performance later in the year.

The shifting movement of red hot sand, spiralling around the withered trunk of a gnarled tree are among the hypnotic visions KYLESA evoke with "Spiral Shadow". Drawing deeply from the roots nourishing their unique sound with the essence of crust punk, psychedelic and stoner rock as well as sludge metal, the US-band is tapping into an even deeper musical universe than ever before. It all begins in Savannah, Georgia, where guitarist and singer Philipp Cope founds KYLESA with two members of his former band Damad during the year 2001. The name is derived from the Buddhist concept of "kilesa mara" meaning delusionary states of the mind. In 2002 they published their album debut "Kylesa" (2002). Yet KYLESA quickly develop their style, to which guitarist and vocalist Laura Pleasants contributes in a major way. This is enhanced by their use of two drummers since the third album "Time Will Fuse Its Worth" (2006), while "To Walk a Middle Course" (2005) was still recorded in the usual way. With the critically highly acclaimed "Static Tensions" (2009) KYLESA fine tune their formula, which has come close to perfection now. Under an Uppsala Moon, the spirits of ancient evil and old metal are summoned and celebrated.
