The time is ripe for a new battle through the fields of pagan metal. Developed by wolfish blood, a freshly-baked, heathen messiah rises up in the shape of a four-head horde, which is strictly faithful to the ancient believe. With "Blutaar" VARG unleashes a very special diamond in pagan music, which justifiably lays claim to the throne of Viking-metal-masterpieces. Now this armada hailing from Coburg, Germany announces its next pandemonium: At METALCAMP 2010 the warriors of VARG put on their wolf-skin for telling epic stories of an unbound beast to all headbangers.
PARADISE LOST
When dark and bizarre heavy-rock-sounds metamorphose the sphere into a bleak-melancholic surrounding, which reflects the human sense in all its fragile empathy and wistfulness, the British gothic metallers of PARADISE LOST have obviously unleashed a new killer. This new, obscure masterpiece is called "Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us" and demonstrates once more, that after 22 years of career, the godfathers of gothic metal still count to the strongest and most influential rock bands. Due to their use of innovative sound-variations - the impressing balance between rough doom, atmospheric electro, hard rock and sinister melodies - the band is still heading the gloomy side of heavy metal elementarily. PARADISE LOST created a monumental portrait of dark music in the beginning of the 90ties with great songs on classical albums like "Lost Paradise", "Gothic" or "Draconian Times". Florida's cult-combo in death metal is preparing for a spectacular invasion of Slovenia. OBITUARY still fly the flag of the old-school-league and bring you edged riffs and fat grooves to your headbanger's holidays. If you believe, that the triumphal procession of OBITUARY already ended in the 90ties, you're definitely wrong. The Tardy brothers, Trevor Peres, Frank Watkins and Ralph Santolla still know how to produce killer-songs of the highest rank. OBITUARY has always been an institution in pure death metal. They still are and will always be.
DECAPITATED
DECAPITATED were decisively involved in the rise of Polish death-metal-movement. Due to their unique style of metal, which is composed of significant high-grade technique and explicit melody-parts, the band reached the top of popularity within the scene rapidly. DECAPITATED could pave their way to the first-class-acts of Poland's extreme metal community, standing side by side with Vader and Behemoth. Despite of harsh calamities - the death of drummer Vitek during an accident with the tourbus has left deep scars in the history of the band - DECAPITATED formed up in 2009 again to continue a new chapter.
EX DEO
Rome is perishing in a sea of flames and Maurizio Iacono, the well-known commander of KATAKLYSM, posses the control for this scenario. EX DEO is the title of his current, conceptual campaign, which moves along a historic landscape. ROTTING CHRIST is celebrating 20th Anniversary of its own black-metal-history, but of course they are not tired yet! The time is ripe for a new battle through the fields of pagan metal. Developed by wolfish blood, a freshly-baked, heathen messiah rises up in the shape of a four-head horde, which is strictly faithful to the ancient believe. With "Blutaar" VARG unleashes a very special diamond in pagan music, which justifiably lays claim to the throne of Viking-metal-masterpieces. Now this armada hailing from Coburg, Germany announces its next pandemonium: At METALCAMP 2010 the warriors of VARG put on their wolf-skin for telling epic stories of an unbound beast to all headbangers.
PARADISE LOST
When dark and bizarre heavy-rock-sounds metamorphose the sphere into a bleak-melancholic surrounding, which reflects the human sense in all its fragile empathy and wistfulness, the British gothic metallers of PARADISE LOST have obviously unleashed a new killer. This new, obscure masterpiece is called "Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us" and demonstrates once more, that after 22 years of career, the godfathers of gothic metal still count to the strongest and most influential rock bands. Due to their use of innovative sound-variations - the impressing balance between rough doom, atmospheric electro, hard rock and sinister melodies - the band is still heading the gloomy side of heavy metal elementarily. PARADISE LOST created a monumental portrait of dark music in the beginning of the 90ties with great songs on classical albums like "Lost Paradise", "Gothic" or "Draconian Times". In 2010 singer Nick Holmes and his accomplices continue in living the black-white-contrast and are ready to turn the colourfulness of METALCAMP pale.

Florida's cult-combo in death metal is preparing for a spectacular invasion of Slovenia. OBITUARY still fly the flag of the old-school-league and bring you edged riffs and fat grooves to your headbanger's holidays. If you believe, that the triumphal procession of OBITUARY already ended in the 90ties, you're definitely wrong. The Tardy brothers, Trevor Peres, Frank Watkins and Ralph Santolla still know how to produce killer-songs of the highest rank. OBITUARY has always been an institution in pure death metal. They still are and will always be.
DECAPITATED
DECAPITATED were decisively involved in the rise of Polish death-metal-movement. Due to their unique style of metal, which is composed of significant high-grade technique and explicit melody-parts, the band reached the top of popularity within the scene rapidly. DECAPITATED could pave their way to the first-class-acts of Poland's extreme metal community, standing side by side with Vader and Behemoth. Despite of harsh calamities - the death of drummer Vitek during an accident with the tourbus has left deep scars in the history of the band - DECAPITATED formed up in 2009 again to continue a new chapter.
EX DEO
Rome is perishing in a sea of flames and Maurizio Iacono, the well-known commander of KATAKLYSM, posses the control for this scenario. EX DEO is the title of his current, conceptual campaign, which moves along a historic landscape. The perdition and the death-metallic renaissance of an empire, whose emperors, bombast and cruelties haven't lost a spark of fascination until today, are made to subject of the musical art of EX DEO. In a heroic glare, master Iacono creates a fantastic death-metal-opus, which couldn't sound more warlike. The Roman Empire will rise again... at METALCAMP 2010.

The Norwegian minister of gothic music wants to give a present to all lovers of dark, emotional gothic-metallers at METALCAMP 2010 and sends his best act to Slovenia. The occult darkness of the North is totally reflecting in the sound of this sextet. The special trademarks of the band are obvious: Dramatic bombast and dark romance are as rated high as the vocal interplay between good and evil in the sophisticated song-writing. A bittersweet indulgence for your ears!
ROTTING CHRIST
ROTTING CHRIST is celebrating 20th Anniversary of its own black-metal-history, but of course they are not tired yet! The demons are more alive than ever and get into the start-positions to rape your headbanger's holidays. Warlock Sakis and his diabolical circle will infiltrate you with true black-metal-essences out of the book "Non Serviam" Don't even think of receiving only a spark of mercy!
OVERKILL
Another glorious thrash-metal-legend awaits you on your headbanger's holidays: OVERKILL! The "Wrecking Crew" from New Jersey still holds the reins of the thrash-spirit in their hands and returns on stage to demonstrate the metal-world that the status of being a cult-band is not only depending on having a fat band-history or -discography. CANNIBAL CORPSE

Hailing from Greece, the newcomers of thrash metal, who gained the Rock The Nation Award 2009, come to METALCAMP to desecrate your headbanger's holidays. After signing with Nuclear Blast, the band releases their debut-album "Sanctify The Darkness" these days. This unholy quartet will exert thrash metal in its pure culture till the last angel falls from heaven!
Sonata Arctica
Today the band belongs to the most important artists of the international melodic, power metal scene and their latest masterpiece titled "The Days Of Grays" seems to earn another successful breakthrough. The recipe of their success is based on a very special mixture: Solid metal-hymns with powerful chorus combined with smart melodies in consideration of filigree technique. Hailing from the darkest underground - scene of croatia, OMEGA LITHIUM released their debut - album titled "Dreams In Formaline" via Drakkar Records and turned out to be one of the most hopeful newcomers in gothic/industrial metal. Dramatic, melanholic and with a wide sense for dark emotions, female singer Mya Mortensen and her dark lord create an extravagant, scary atmosphere. Omega Lithium will breathe a necessary waft of icy air into yout headbanger's holidays.
Korpiklaani
What would be a Humpaa-Party without KORPIKLAANI? The "forest inhabitants" live in close touch with northern nature and play folk metal with traditional instruments such as accordion, violin, flute and Jouhikko (a typical instrument of Finnish folklore). This marvellous combination grants a wild celebration including traditional Finnish flair. So there still stays only one thought: "Vodka!"
Epica
Indomitable passion is leading every single symphonic/gothic metal opus of EPICA, who have climbed the top of this genre with their latest album "Design Your Universe". Simone Simons and her fellows create a cold, poignant blizzard of melancholic empathy and overwhelming bombast. Joey DeMaio himself heard about the wonderful METALCAMP and from
that moment on he realized that this is the best place in the world
to have a Magic Circle Festival in 2010 – so we started
discussions…
We loved the idea of presenting to our loyal METALCAMPERS the real
‘Kings Of Metal’ and to the MANOWARRIORS of the world the wonderful
METALCAMP. So we sat together and started to discuss how we could
make this happen. It was not easy; it needed compromises and new
ideas. But where there's a will, there's a way, and so we finally
came to an agreement.
So we now have an extended METALCAMP, with the Magic Circle
Festival added as an extra option for all you METALCAMPERS out
there. This is how we keep it up to you guys - you decide if you
want to stay for 1 or 6 days. Anything you want is possible. More
metal is always better!
As we all know, the football world cup final game will also be on
11th July. We will broadcast the final game, during that time there
will be no program on both stages and after the game MANOWAR will
celebrate with you and show you who the kings of METAL truly are.
We promise – this will be an absolutely magic moment – a day to
remember.
More artists and events are still to be confirmed for both stages
on that day – so stay tuned.
Continuing in the tradition of the Magic Circle Festival, MANOWAR
will do an autograph session on Friday 9th of July as well all of
the crazy activities you’ve come to know and love about the Magic
