Ellen Milne said… Hi Carrie. The driving went well for us actually (we're still alive!) and it worked out cheaper for us rather than flying. We did it over four days, down to Dover the first, next day across the channel and on to Stuttgart, day after to Salzburg, and then the next day to Slovenia. If you went fi Munich last year you'll obviously know not to do what we did and try to be clever and avoid the Slovenian motorway by taking the back roads into the country! Our poor wee car couldn't cope with the steep inclines in the mountains haha! That was the only major trouble we got into on the way there. Can't really think of anything else. :)
(Did we bump into you guys in Salzburg last year btw?)
